| Background
The basic premise of astrology is that anything born or done at a moment in time shares the quality of that moment. Natal astrology takes this principle and applies it to the event of the birth of an individual under the premise that the configuration of the planets at the moment of a person's birth have something significant to say about the nature and course of their life. In relationship analysis this principle is taken one step further with the notion that the way that two people interact and the very nature of their relationship can be described by comparing each of their birth charts to the other.

The Method
Relationship analysis using astrology involves the use of several different techniques and charts in order to determine their general and specific compatibility as well the long-range prospects for the two people involved.
The first step is that the astrologer must aquire an intimate understanding of both of the individual's birth charts separately in order to determine how each person does in relationships in general and whether they encounter that specific area of their life with difficulty or with ease. Each person's chart must also be examined within the context of current transits, progressions and time-lord periods in order to determine if they are currently in an easy period in their life that seems to be condusive to positive relationships, or if it is a more difficult time period that indicates some difficulties in the area of relationships.
The next step is to look at the synastry between the two charts. In synastry the astrologer takes both charts and superimposes them upon one another to see where the other person's planets fall in the other's chart. This method tells the astrologer how the two people relate to each other and in what area of life they are liable to highlight each other’s strengths and weaknesses. This method can help to show if the couple relates well emotionally, physically, and mentally.
The next step is to analyze the composite chart or the relationship chart that the two people create when they are together. A composite chart is constructed by calculating the mathematical midpoints between each person's planets and constructing a third chart which symbolizes the relationship itself. This third chart is like an entity in it of itself which both people become aware of when the couple comes in contact with each other. This chart seems to be much more static in that it shows more of the purpose of the relationship and where it is going, whereas synastry is often better at showing how the two people relate to each other.
Lastly, I will look to the couple's current and future transits, progressions and time-lords, both to their natal charts and to the composite chart in order to get an idea of where the relationship is at now and how it might evolve based on what kind of trends will be coming up in the near future. This sometimes helps to shed light on minor as well as major problems that crop up during the course of any relationship so that the couple can work though them with full understanding of what is going on.
Consultation Mediums
In order to serve a diverse client base I utilize a number of different mediums through which to conduct consultations and each client has a choice of choosing the one that best suits them. Each consultation comes with a detailed written report that is sent out by email prior to the consultation and contains any relevant charts, additional handouts and written delineation notes that are pertinent to the consultation. Most consultations last for about an hour and a half, and the price is $125. Here is a list of some of the different consultation mediums:
- Over the phone - Telephone consultations are the preferred medium. Consultations over the phone last for approximately an hour and a half, and prior to the consultation you will be emailed a detailed writeup of the notes that I have taken for the consultation along with any relevant charts and handouts in PDF format. For those outside of the U.S. where the costs associated with making a long-distance call are prohibitive, other means of holding a phone consultation are available, such as through internet voice chat programs such as Skype. - Instant messenger - The consultation may take place over an instant messenger program at a scheduled date and time. Consultation notes and relevant charts will be emailed prior to the consultation. Consultations held through an instant messenger program usually for approximately an hour and a half to two hours. Currently available instant messenger services for this option are: AIM, ICQ, MSN, Yahoo Messenger, and Google Talk.
- In person - Consultations may be done in person if you happen to live in Colorado, or if you book a consultation with me ahead of time while I am travelling. Please see my bio page for my current travel schedule and a list of my upcoming appearances. Consultations in person usually last for about an hour and a half, and they come with a written report of the consultation notes which will be emailed to you in PDF form prior to the consultation.
- Second Life - A new medium for consultations is to meet at my office in the virtual world called Second Life. The Second Life program is free, and it provides a more personal setting for a consultation when it is not possible to meet in person. Please be sure that you download Second Life and determine if
 your computer can run the program before booking an appointment for a consultation with me there. Consultations in Second Life last for approximately an hour and a half, and prior to the consultation you will be emailed a writeup of the notes that I have taken for the consultation along with any relevant charts and handouts in pdf form. Communication is done either through typing or, more preferably, through the SL talk feature using a microphone. - Written report - For those who would rather have the entire delineation of their natal chart written up without having to schedule a consultation then written reports are available. These reports are often more extensive than the consultation notes that are given with other consultation mediums, although I ask that you specify some particular areas or concerns that you would like the report to focus on with regards to your life. The written report will be emailed along with any relevant charts and handouts in PDF format.
Birth data, payment and contact information
If you have any questions or you would like to schedule an appointment then please contact me at astrologue@gmail.com. In order to calculate the necessay charts I need the following data for each person involved:
- The birth date for both parties including the month, day and year.
- The location of birth, i.e. the city, state, and/or country.
- The exact time of birth preferably from the birth certificate. The exact birth time is extremely important when calculating and interpreting a chart, so this must be as close to exact as possible if you wish to receive an accurate reading. If you are not certain about your birthtime then please let me know.
I charge $125 a consultation for relationship analysis and I usually require a few weeks notice before the consultation in order to examine the charts and do a full write-up. A consultation usually consists of about an hour and a half discussion through one of the mediums listed above where we will go over the relevant charts and discuss their meaning with respect to your relationship and answer any questions that you may have regarding them. If there are any specific areas, themes or time periods that you would like to focus on in the consultation then please let me know in your initial email so that I can pay more attention to those areas of the charts while studying them in preparation for the consultation. I will provide copies of all of the relevant charts at the time of the consultation as well as a detailed writeup which outlines some of the conclusions that I have come to about the relationship as well as the astrological rationale behind those conclusions.

Paypal is a very easy and secure method of transferring funds over the internet. As part of the ordering process you will be directed to the Paypal website for payment. If you do not already have an account with Paypal then you will be given the option of opening an account with them or making a secure payment using your existing credit card. Both services are free to use and they allow you to send money from your bank account to anyone with an email address in over 40 countries.
